Art Requirements

What is Artwork?
ANY design (text, company logos, sketches, etc.) that you'd like to have printed is considered artwork.

The first step of any order is to get your artwork on our computers and ready to print. Generally, all artwork can be e-mailed straight to us or zipped and then e-mailed. We accept nearly every file format, but we have preferred formats that will keep your art charges low (or non-existent!) and make the pre-press process much quicker for you.

Preferred File Formats:
VECTOR ARTWORK:

Adobe Illustrator CS2 or earlier (.AI or .EPS)
CorelDraw Version 9 or earlier (.CDR)
Adobe Acrobat (.PDF)
Other vector formats may be acceptable. Please contact us to check.

NOTE: Please make sure all text is converted to paths, curves, or outlines, or that all font files used in the artwork are also supplied.
Please make sure all placed raster images are either embedded in the vector file or included along with the vector file when you send it to us.
Placing a .JPEG or other type of raster artwork into an EPS does not make it vector.

RASTER ARTWORK in HIGH RESOLUTION:
Adobe Photoshop version CS2 or earlier (.TIF, .PSD, or .EPS)
Other raster formats may be acceptable. Please contact us to check.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All raster/bitmap artwork should be 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. Graphics pulled from the web at screen resolution (72 DPI) do not work well for high quality printing.

HAND DRAWN ARTWORK, LOW RESOLUTION FILES, and IDEAS/CONCEPTS (art charges will apply):
The following artwork formats require art charges of $35 per hour:
If you have a concept or idea, but no finalized artwork, our art department will put together an original design for you. If you have questions about this service, please contact our artist (linkage).
We can also work from hand drawn artwork sent through the mail, dropped by, or faxed in. From there we can scan these hand drawn images into our computers and clean them up to get them "print ready".
If you have a low resolution file, business card, or web graphic, our artist can usually redraw the image and make it ready or print. We also offer the file on a disk for future use.

Please note: We will only begin working "non preferred" artwork once we have your screen printing order in our system.
All "non preferred" artwork must be accompanied by a printing or purchase order. Once you place your order, our art department will contact you with proofs for your job via email. You will have access by phone and email should you have any questions or revisions.

Note: We also offer our artwork services a la carte. For this service, our artist will create your artwork and provide you with the high resolution files for other uses (embroidery, traditional and offset printing, and other ASI items such as pens, mugs, etc) Please contact our artist for turn around times and pricing.
